Vision Zero

» 27 June 2014

Dear Respected Community Members,

Namaste,

I would like to let you know that we, Dr. Tara Niraula, Mohan Gyawali, Bhubaneswor Adhikari, Dilli Siwakoti, Ms. Raji (ADHIKAAR), Bhola Acharya (RealKhabar.com) and I; Sahakul Khatri had a meeting with New York Council Member District 31 Ms. Elizabeth Crowley. We introduced/discussed about the Ridgewood Nepalese Society and our presence in Ridgewood territory. She is ready to assist in funding for our DTNCC project but this fiscal year is already over to allocate budget. We will have to apply for next year in advance. At the same time, we came to know about their funding for social activities; like Nepali classes for kids, adult classes for adult, basic computer classes and summer camp. Once we have space, we are planning to run such activities soon.

We will have our next meeting with Council Member District 34 Mr. Antonio Reynoso soon. We have invited them for the Peace Really (Parade) on July 27, 2014. Most probably, they will participate to our peace really.

Please participate at Vision Zero educational program at 70-02 54^th Avenue, Maspeth Queens and share your concerns, ideas and feedback if you have time.

For more info, please see the attached flyer.

Thank you,
